Everyone that knows me well knows that I hate Munich and would rather live anywhere else than in this city and that, in fact, I grew up in the North West of Germany and never stop making this clear whenever I meet new people, because I’m still reppin’ and representin’North(R)West. So it’s a special kind of bound I have to this place. The “Block” I’m claiming to be from is Wuppertal, Elberfeld to be more precisely. That’s where I spent nearly my whole childhood and made the best experiences ( and then I moved to Munich lol).
A few weeks ago I decided to visit some friends there and spent some time and, of course, shoot. It’s been five years now since the last time I have visited my hometown so it’s really been bout damn time. It really was great coming back. 10/10 would do it again.
For me it was important to catch the vibe while chilling with cool people and having a good time. Most of the time this is what it’s all about, no further meaning or “message”. Not everything needs explanation. Just do what you want. Or what you feel like.
I’m still alive and back with them new new film shots. So as you can tell this really is my first all analogue post. I finally got to see and scan these pictures I took right before I left to visit my hometown (ofc I took some pics there too). And I still got a lot of analogue pictures from the time I was in Istanbul and Berlin I didn’t scan but since I got plenty of time on my hands right now, I know what I will be doing the next few weeks. Believe me this takes a lot of time but whilst you are scanning and analysing pictures you’ll forget about the time and suddenly it’s 4 AM and you catch yourself waking up from falling asleep infront of the open refrigerator next to your mom asking herself what she might did wrong.
I got to chill with the OG GANG and took some pictures of them casually strolling around in their neighborhood. They are all really cool people to hang out and shoot some good pictures with. Everyone of them is an individual and most of them are friends since like forever becaus they grew up together in this neighborhood. So the location was more meaningful this time I guess. I was really happy to shoot such authentic and cool people that just be themselves and chill in their hood, that create and stay together.
So stay true to your block and support some “real mothefuckin’ OGs”.
How is y’all doing? So this time I won’t excuse myself because I had some school stuff to do the last few weeks (I didn’t do it lol). Anyways there is still a lot to come on this blog. There may be just 13-ish people that actually read this blog but I won’t disappoint my true and loyal readers. I do this for y’all.
Actually I don’t even know why I am doing this whole photography thing. I just want to share the stuff I do, with others and everyone that feels like having a look at my work and is interested in the things I be doing, when I’m not sleeping or binge watching any Netflix shows and sometimes (very rare, almost too rare) Animes.
yeah. I got told my blog is very authentic. This was what I was aiming for.
Anyways back to the actual post this was just a quick introduction to this post.
This shoot was a few weeks ago. With a dude called Lukas . He is a really kind and sweet person. Was really fun shooting with him. I have to admit that I did not plan anything for this shoot, but his whole outfit unintentionally matched the location and he was almost blending in with this grey metallic wall because of his grey GOSHA hoodie.
I also shot some pictures on my analogue cam that day. This shit is starting to get really expensive damn I might need a second job. If a lifestyle/fashion/art magazine is tryna hire holla at your girl with the job info lol.
So I hope you enjoyed reading this post.
I’m out b.
And here the #35mm pictures are following, tell me what you think about it ( or don’t ).
So as you may tell I’m back from Istanbul, a few pounds heavier, but I’m here again and who tf actually cares bout weight ( the people weighing your baggage at the airport do lol ).
Anyways I had a great time being there and was shooting film the whole time to capture the real feeling and atmosphere of the city, I just hope they turn out well. So stay tuned for the analogue madness ( I’m still working on the name ).
This skatepark is like one of the best locations I’ve ever came a cross. And I am slowly running out of good locatins so that was also a reason for me to pull up to the same spot again ( for the third time now ). This was a YOUNG PICASSOS x MOUBSEN session. Sadly the trio wasn’t there shooting together, it was just Kc and me. But we still managed to get some nice shots, even though the weather wasn’t playing along as usual.
We planned doing this session with Moubsen, the infamous munich streetstyle blogger, for a long time actually. But everytime you plan on doing something and already have some specific visions in your head it never turns out the way you expected it to be. But this is what it’s all about – the moment. Making the best out of your surroundings while using every bit of the moment you are given. ( I hope this don’t sound too corny lol).
Anyways I hope you enjoyed the post and the now following pictures.
So this week I somehow managed to do like 3 shoots , that means I got content for days. Sadly I won’t be able to post for the next week because I will be in Istanbul, but I will be shooting a lot of film that week so stay tuned for that too. I got a lot of scanned pics from my last 35mm shoots so there will be a post about this too.
Before I show you these pics let me tell you how I got these people to stand infront of the camera.
One day me and Ilaaf was strolling around the streets of Schwabing West and saw Jayson, a dude with an incredible sense of style, walking past us. And we both was like “yo this guy got steez”.Then we went into Pick and weight (a vintage store in Munich) and saw him again there, so we decided that this must be faith and the universe wanted me to shoot with him. Like the random person I am I walked up to him and casually asked him if he woud like me to take a few pictures of him. At first he was a bit surprised and kinda sceptical but then he gave in and had a look at my instagram lol ( I hope I didn’t bother him too much or didn’t come of as too intrusive). A few weeks later we actually linked up and took some pics at a local skatepark. He was there with his friend Joel and we took some pics until it turned dark. While we was there shooting I saw a group of girls chillin that kinda seemed familiar to me, so I walked up to them and asked if they would be okay with me taking some pictures of them. Turns out that these girls also run a blog calledtrulsblog. Sometimes the universe works in some crazy ways lol.
Today we had another session at the skatepark so there will be a part two next week.
I hope you enjoyed this post and the pictures included. Please check out their blog, it’s worth it.
You may already know that Ramzi, Kc and I shoot together most of the time and now we got a cool name (thanks to Kc’s creative mind).
There were some nice candids that haven’t been posted on social media yet so I decided to do that now.
These pictures were taken on two different days, the last session was with my super intelligent and super great friend Ilaaf (I hope she starts a blog soon too, you’d be impressed by her content) and Johanna .
On the first sessions our vision kinda failed lol. We wanted to take pictures of Ramzi laying in the grass with flowers in his hair but this vision failed badly. This set of pictures turned out really funny looking . Ramzi prepare yourself to get these candids on a birthday card this year when you turn 20.
The second session on friday was planned not so well because of me being a bit overwhelmed with school and life rn lol. But we still made it work somehow thanks to Ilaaf’s genius mind.
So actually I finished this post like 2 weeks ago but it failed to post lol, great job WordPress. Anyways this post really does come a bit late but I was busy binge watching Brooklyn 99 and Bob’s Burgers and procastinating and telling myself I had no form of schoolwork to do. But here it is. This the post I planned on writing 3 weeks ago. Enjoy it.
Michael is a cool dude living in London who spends his time dressing himself in fresh and extraordinary clothes and striving to become an actor. Never met such an inspiring soul as him, I am really glad we met up and took photos together. He will soon have an appereance on my blog too, because I will publish a text he wrote about his style and passion for acting ( It’s good you should read it).
So we strolled around Shoreditch and Brick Lane (now I get why everybody go there these streets are so artsy and cute) and took some pictures. When we got back to the underground station we met a few other cool dudes and I took some pics of them. I feel like all the people living in London are more spontaneously and open minded than the ones living in Germany. But I’m happy I got to know so much new people I can work with.
There is nothing left to say about this actually ( unbelievable that these few sentences took me so long, wow.). I’d be happy if you’d just check out his instagram .
Like always thanks for reading and supporting the kiddo, also stay tuned I got a lot planned for the future and a lot of new people to work with, eventually starting an analouge photography series. Just stay tuned and enjoy the journey.
This post is about my school trip to London last week. Again, I actually planned on writing this earlier and again: I was a lazy piece of shit.
But here it is.
So what happened in London?
On Monday we arrived at the “hotel” and started going around and doing some tourist shit. I had my analogue cam with me and also got myself 3 colored films, but unfortunatley my cam broke and I somehow managed breaking two films. Just don’t ask me how it happened. I really don’t know and I just want to forget about my own stupidness. Anyways besides these lost films I took a lot of other great shots in London that week.
That week I was living of cereal and air lol ( and wraps from tesco). The breakfast consisted of 4 pieces of toast and a muffin. But yeah I ain’t die so I guess it wasn’t that bad. I could have easily spent more money on food and could have treated myself that week with some nice food, but I rather spent all my money in thrift stores and on hair dye. So nearly starving to death was kinda my fault. But this is survival of the fittest, because “Who needs food when you can have three pairs of socks for the price of two.”. And now I can say that I know how to stretch 25 pounds for three days and not die of starvation while looking fly.
Also we dyed my hair in the hotel room that week. That was really fun but the bed sheets, the floor and the towels ended up being blue (obv I had to take the towel with me because it had stains of blue hair dye on it and I didn’t want the employees to think “wtf?” ). If anyone from the Lord’s Hotel reads this, I am sorry for your towels and bed sheets.
Besides shooting with my friends ( s/o to Anna, Sofija and Felicia) I shooted with Michael on thursday. We went to Shoreditch and took some cool pics there and then we randomly met some cool dudes at the tube station and had a lil shoot there. I have no shame in asking strangers on the streets to shoot and most of the time it’s a great experience and you get to know cool people.
(Anna took some of these pics and they turned out real good so admire her work)
I’ll just share some pics with you to get a glimpse of that trip.
There will be two other posts up the next week so stay tuned and check it out.
People ask me a lot of questions about the name “lil fuego”. Why did I choose this? What does that mean and is there a story behind that? Yea but this is a topic for another post I planned on writing. And why “from the block”? Atually I got inspired by JLo’s “Jenny from the block” lol. That song is my theme song, my anthem, right after Princess Nokia’s “Tomboy” (exspecially that one line “My lil titties and my fat belly” lmao I love her). Besides that I really am from the block so this is not just an image I am trying to create it’s just me being proud of where I came from and I think everybody should. This is what I’m trying to capture in my pictures, the reality.
So this post is about that one sunday session two weeks ago. Why is this post coming so late? Because I’m a lazy piece of shit, that’s why. No seriously. I had like sooo much time but didn’t even bother writing this post lol. But now I will bless you with these pics.
Idk what to tell you about the pictures or the people on them. I’m shooting with the same people always so it doesn’t even matter. Just enjoy the art and the chill moments I tried to capture.
To not let this post end right here imma tell you something about my next post. It will be about my trip to London and what kind of crazy shit happened to me and my friends (with some artsy pictures included). Maybe a guide to thrifting will be published next too (but I won’t post a guide on how to spend money wisely because appaently I can’t manage this either and this is why I almost starved to death lol but more to that in my next post).
PS: Tito if you are reading this send me the text I am waiting don’t disappoint your loyal fans and readers
